THE BRIDGE WORKSHOP was created in order to enable the five design strategies to be developed in an applicable manner.
It is a design workshop which aims to present the five design strategies, while, simultaneously acting as the first step of a collaborative effort to implement the proposed strategies into practical outcomes.

You are also invited to conduct THE BRIDGE WORKSHOP on your own or with a group and share the results with others in the GALLERY section. If you would like to work with a group of students you are invited to CONTACT us and receive an elaborated pdf presentation about THE BRIDGE methodology.
Participants will get acquainted with the applicative design strategies of THE BRIDGE methodology (you are invited to contact us to receive a pdf presentation), and will be invited to experience designing quick ideas according to its guidelines.
As a preparation to step 2, participants will be asked to choose a vibrant site or area in the neighborhood and examine this site with fresh eyes (and a camera or sketch book) trying to locate potential intervention channels to apply the design strategies that were introduced.
This step will start with the presentations prepared by participants. The group will refer to the proposed design concepts and in a collaborative discussion the most appropriate concept to develop will be chosen.
The rest of the session will be dedicated to developing the proposed concepts (with facilitator's guidance) and to a lecture presenting various design concepts from around the world as an inspiration for the process.
The main part of this session will be devoted to presenting the outcomes of the process. While addressing the results emphasis will be given to areas in which the design strategies were addressed thoroughly, and a discussion will be held regarding the effectiveness of their application.
The workshop will end with a talk about how participants might be able to further apply the learned methodology in future projects and design concepts. As a windup to the workshop participants will be asked to upload a documentation of their design results to the GALLERY section of the website.
